Wythe County Parks and Recreation is hosting Barn Quilt Tiles Workshops at Sheffey Gymnasium and Rural Retreat Community Center in the coming weeks.
A barn quilt is a large piece of wood painted to look like a quilt block. Spend an afternoon creating a beautiful, traditional Barn Quilt that tells the story of your family! Participants will be provided a 2×2 sheet of plyboard, paints, brushes, and other accessories to help easily create their tile. Instruction will be provided. Space is limited, sign up sooner rather than later to ensure your spot!

The Sheffey event will by July 23 and 26 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. The Rural Retreat event is set for Aug. 27 at the same time.
Minimum participants is six and the maximum is 15. The final day to register and make payment is July 15 at 5 p.m. for the Sheffey event and on Aug. 20 at 5 p.m. for the one in Rural Retreat.
