A 20-10 advantage in the second frame, followed by a 20-8 showing in the third stanza lifted Virginia High’s boys to a 72-53 Southwest District victory over Marion.
Parker Wolfe paced the Hurricanes with 17 points.
The Lady Canes were able to rebound from an abysmal 12-4 deficient in the second quarter, but despite a 26-19 run in the final frame couldn’t overcome the Virginia High lead, falling 59-55.
