Bland Library re-opens

The Bland County Library is back in business.

After being shuttered by the coronavirus, the library re-opened at 10 a.m. on Feb. 1, citing a downward trend of virus cases in Bland.

Hours for the library are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and is closed for cleaning on Wednesday.

With the re-opening, all services are open and available to the public.

The library is also offering a new service, allowing card holders to check out Verizon wi-fi hotspots that allow users to access the internet at home through cell phone service. The hotspots come with a 10GB plan and can be checked out for seven days.

The library has five hotspots.
