Bloom hosting fundraising dinner for Appalachian Sustainable Development

Appalachian Sustainable Development will hold its first ever event on Monday, Jan.  22,  from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bloom, 601 State St., Bristol, Virginia.

Underwriting is provided by Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol. All proceeds benefit Appalachian Sustainable Development. Tickets are $100 per person: https://events.humanitix.com/test-89dykaym. Space is limited and no tickets will be sold at the door. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. for cocktails. Seating is first-come, first-servef.

Guests can embrace the winter season with this chic Farm to Table Fundraising Supper at Bloom, enjoying an impeccably curated five-course menu prepared by Chef Josh Fehr and his team. 

Bloom is closing the restaurant for this supper, where a limited number of guests will experience a Prix Fixe like no other. Keeping with the mission of at least 70 percent locally sourced ingredients, the risk-taking culinary team has carefully crafted a menu of creative dishes that are sure to please the palate.

Dinner will be served promptly at 6 p.m.

The courses are as follows, with options for vegetarian guests: -Sweet potato pave-creme fraiche, chive, JQD Salt; Acorn Squash Risotto-parsnip, lardon, local mushrooms;-“Chicken + Dumplings”-ricotta gnocchi “dumplings”, local hen, briciole; Filet of Beef-red wine jus, truffled cauliflower purée; and Rosemary Honey Almond Tart-local honey, almond frangipane, blood orange. Each course will be paired with the exquisite flavor profiles of Tumbling Creek Cider Company’s local, fresh and clean ciders.
