The Emory & Henry College men’s golf team completed its first tournament of the year Tuesday, finishing fifth at the Castle Classic, hosted by Bluefield University.
Freshman Jhon Ojeda moved up two spots from round one, shooting a +3 (73) to finish fourth at +7 for the event. Fifth-year Isandyar Khan moved into the top 20 for the tournament, carding a 78 (+8) on Tuesday to take 19th overall.
Freshman Alex Boone carved 11 strokes off yesterday’s mark, posting a +7 (77) to finish tied for 23rd while freshman Trent Gehringer jumped three places with a 78 (+8), finishing T-25th.
Sophomore Sam Vandyne, a Fort Chiswell graduate, turned in an 86, finishing 30th overall.
