Marion’s boys came out strong and finished even stronger, but unfortunately for the Hurricane faithful, it just wasn’t enough as Gate City ended Marion’s season with a regional 70-65 loss.
The Canes trailed by one after the first period, but a 12-8 run in the second, had the Blue Devils ahead 29-24 heading into the back half of the matchup.
The Canes kept things close through the third, and even led 22-20 in the final frame.
Parker Wolfe led the Hurricane scoring with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Jack Ford clipped 18 points in the loss.
