LewisGale Hospital Montgomery has hired Lisa Carson as chief nursing officer for the 146-bed medical and surgical facility.
Carson brings nearly 30 years of nursing experience with HCA Healthcare. She has developed her nursing career through progressive leadership roles including patient care tech, staff nurse, nursing supervisor, nurse manager, and nurse director. Most recently, she served as assistant chief nursing officer for Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, a 340-bed community hospital located in Richmond, Va.
“Lisa has served the central Virginia market for many years by dedicating herself not only as a patient caregiver but as a healthcare leader,” said Sean Pressman, LewisGale Hospital Montgomery interim chief executive officer. “She has fostered a culture of care and safety for patients, families, and staff.”
Carson earned her Associate’s degree in Nursing from Reynolds Community College and her Master of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at American Sentinel University.
