Virginia State Police is investigating a one-vehicle fatal crash that occurred Sunday, Feb. 18, at 9:39 p.m. on state Route 19 in Washington County.
A 2012 Toyota Camry, driven by Jordyn P. Rasnake, 20, of Richlands was heading northbound on Route 19 near Brumley Gap Road when she lost control and ran off the road to the left. The Camry then hit an embankment, and the driver was ejected. Rasnake was trapped underneath the vehicle after it came to a rest.
Rasnake was not wearing a seat belt. She died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
