Crigger, Vaught earn golds at Patrick Henry track meet

Olivia Crigger carried a pair of gold medals back to Rural Retreat from the Judy Thomas Invitational on April 8.

Crigger claimed first in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing in 17.22. She took first, too, in the triple jump, clearing 33 feet, 11.5 inches. Crigger was ninth in the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 29.41.

Scarlett Hale finished seventh in the 800-meter run, posting a time of 3:00.13.

Addison Umberger earned 15th in the long jump, 19th in the 100-meter dash and 24th in the 200-meter dash.

Lydia Brewer finished 15th in the 800-meter run and 26th in the 100-meter dash.

Ginny Hale claimed 15th in the 100-meter dash. Tiffany Anderson finished 23rd in the 800-meter run and 32nd in the 200-meter dash.

Hunter Vaught led the Indian boys, taking silver with a second-place finish in the 100-meter dash behind a time of 11.31 and earning gold with a first place finish in the 200-meter dash. Vaught clocked in at 23.65 in the 200.

Austin Umberger finished sixth in the long jump, leaping for 19 feet, 7.25 inches. Umberger was 10th in the shot put thanks to a 38-foot, 8.5-inch toss. Umberger was also 10th in the 100-meter dash, clocking in at 12.14.

Talan Hammack finished sixth in the 800-meter run, turning in a time of 2:15.39.

Trey Ward finished seventh in the 100-meter dash, finishing in 11.96. His 24.40 finish in the 200-meter dash earned Ward eighth place. Ward finished 20th in the long jump.

Micah Hamman claimed 15th in the 400-meter dash, followed by Kaden Chappell in 21st place and Adrian Price in 23rd. Scott Meredith took 19th in the 1600-meter run, and Chaz Penwright earned 26th in the long jump. Mazon Santos finished 29th in the 200-meter dash.
