Chilhowie put up some big numbers in the second quarter, netting 21 points (one more than the Eagles), but it wasn’t near enough.
Auburn had already nabbed an 11 point lead in the opening frame so went to the break up by 10. In the third, the Eagles used a 26-11 run to dash Chilhowie’s dreams of playing in the state finals.
Auburn upended the Warriors 78-56, concluding Chilhowie’s Cinderella run.
Will Goodwin again supplied the firepower for Chilhowie, stroking 19 points. Isaac Booth drained half of Chilhowie’s eight three-pointers en route to a 14-point game.
