EDA awards $70k to New River Valley Regional Commission

U.S. Rep. Morgan Griffith announced that the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) has awarded $70,000 to the New River Valley Regional Commission, located in Radford, for economic development planning.

“This important federal funding will assist in economic development that supports potential private capital investment and, therefore, job creation,” said Griffith. “I look forward to seeing this money positively impact the area for years to come.”

This investment by EDA is designed to support the continued development and implementation of a comprehensive economic development strategy (CEDS) for the region which is served by the New River Valley Regional Commission. This region includes the counties of Floyd, Giles, Montgomery, Pulaski, and the City of Radford.
