E&H signs deal with University of Lynchburg

Emory & Henry College has signed an Articulation Agreement with the University of Lynchburg that will give a qualifying Emory & Henry senior majoring in Exercise Science a guaranteed spot in the University of Lynchburg’s Athletic Training graduate program.

“This is a great opportunity for our students to continue pursuing their passions at an institution that shares many of the key liberal arts values that we believe creates better clinicians and healthcare providers,” says Beth Funkhouser, Clinical Assistant Professor at Emory & Henry School of Health Sciences. “This recognition from the University of Lynchburg on the quality of our exercise science undergraduate students speaks volumes. I look forward to seeing this partnership grow and the opportunities it offers for our pre-athletic training students.”

The University of Lynchburg’s Athletic Training graduate program provides students with a foundation in evidence-based medicine, and the skills, experience, and degree needed for a career in athletic training.

“The University of Lynchburg is excited about the partnership between Emory & Henry and Lynchburg,” says Debbie Bradney, Chair for Athletic Training at University of Lynchburg. “Both institutions are student-focused and dedicated to providing the best opportunities for our students. The Athletic Training faculty and staff from both institutions are excited to collaborate to ensure the growth of the Athletic Training profession. We believe Emory & Henry students will be a great fit for our program.”
