Emory & Henry College Head Volleyball Coach Kyla King is pleased to announce the schedule for 2022. The Wasps join the South Atlantic Conference this fall with a 28-match slate. The Wasps will play 12 contests at home and highlight their road schedule with a season-opening tournament in Idaho.
E&H gets the year started with a trip to Nampa, Idaho in the Seahawk Invitational hosted by Northwest Nazarene University. The Wasps will play Texas A&M International University and Azusa Pacific University on Friday, August 26 with matches against Rollins College and NNU on Saturday, August 27.
After a short trip across the Tennessee border to face off against King University on Tuesday, August 30, Emory & Henry begins the home portion of its schedule with five straight contests at the John Rutledge King Center.
The Wasps play the first-ever SAC contest for any program against Limestone University on Friday, September 2 at 7:00 p.m. A midweek meeting against the University of Virginia’s College at Wise on Tuesday, September 6 (7 p.m.) will follow with a three-match weekend against Tusculum University (Fri., Sept. 9), Mars Hill University (Sat., Sept. 10) and King (Sat., Sept. 10).
E&H will spend the next weekend on the road, travelling to Lincoln Memorial University and Carson-Newman University on Friday-Saturday, September 16-17. A visit to Lenoir-Rhyne University on Friday, September 23 is next before a non-conference match at North Greenville University (Tue., Sept. 27).
Emory & Henry kicks off Homecoming Weekend on Friday, September 30 when it welcomes Coker University to town. The Wasps will have a quick turnaround, facing Wingate University on the morning of Saturday, October 1.
On Tuesday, October 4, the Wasps will travel to face UVA Wise and remain on the road for the Friday-Saturday, October 7-8 weekend at Anderson (S.C.) University and Newberry College.
A home match with Winston-Salem State University on Tuesday, October 11 follows as E&H hosts its annual Dig Pink event in support of the Side-Out Foundation. After hosting Catawba College on Saturday, October 15, the Wasps will be on the road for the weekend of Friday-Saturday, October 21-22 at Limestone and Belmont Abbey College.
Emory & Henry will host Bluefield State College on Tuesday, October 25 before its final road swing at Tusculum and Mars Hill on Friday-Saturday, October 28-29.
The Wasps close out the 2022 season hosting Carson-Newman on Tuesday, November 1 and Lincoln Memorial on Saturday, November 5 at 5 p.m. The match against LMU will serve as Senior Day.
