The Emory & Henry College Women’s Wrestling Team closed out the first half of its season on Saturday with a fifth-place finish at the Wasps Women’s Open. All three E&H wrestlers finished in the top four of their respective weight classes.
Junior Andreia Langley of Chilhowie opened the day with three falls, beating St. Andrews University’s Elisa Holley (5:26), Gabrielle Mendoza of Ferrum College (1:25), and Limestone’s Journey Bass (1:48) in the 191-pound weight class. She added a 10-0 win by technical superiority against LU’s Destiny Baltierra.
