Emergency SNAP allotments provided

Virginia’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will again release emergency allotments of benefits to eligible households this month.

Benefits will be automatically loaded to recipients’ Electronic Benefits Transfer cards on Tuesday, March 16.
The emergency allotments raise existing SNAP households’ monthly allotment to the maximum allowable based on household size as follows:

Households of one will get $204. Two-person households will receive $374. Three people will get $535.
Households of four will receive $680 and five $807. Six-person households will get $969 and seven $1,071. Eight will receive $1,224 and each additional person will get $153.
