Emory & Henry eSports Overwatch Team moves on to ECAC Semifinals on April 10

The Emory & Henry eSports Overwatch team triumphed over Post University to move into the semifinals of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Rivals division off the heels of a successful, 6-1 regular season. This was an impressive feat for the program to make it to the semifinals of conference play.

The Wasps entered the playoff tournament as underdogs as they were placed as the sixth seed out of 16 total teams. In March, they defeated the 11th seed Heidelberg University in the quarterfinals in a close 3-2 match victory. In April, the Wasps faced off against the third seed Post University Eagles. After losing map one, the crew from Emory & Henry won the final three maps to achieve a 3-1 series win. The team is slated for an upcoming date in the semifinals against seventh seed, University of Delaware Hens.

The Emory & Henry semifinal match against the University of Delaware will be streamed live at 8 p.m. EST on Wednesday, April 10, on the Emory & Henry Esports Twitch page at twitch.tv/waspsesports.
