Emory & Henry’s Theatre Department Presents ‘Mary Poppins’ Feb. 22-25

The Emory & Henry College Theatre Department presents a stage production of one of the most-beloved Disney movies, “Mary Poppins,” Feb. 22-25 in the McGlothlin Center for the Arts. The story will be performed in the Kennedy-Reedy Theatre from Feb. 22 to 24 at 7:30 p.m. and continues with a 2 p.m. matinee on Feb. 25. Step into the magical world of the Banks family as they welcome the practically perfect nanny, Mary Poppins, into their lives.

Crafted by the brilliant minds of Julian Fellowes and Cameron McIntosh, this timeless tale comes to life on stage, captivating audiences of all ages. Watch as Mary, alongside her charming friend Bert, leads the Banks siblings on extraordinary adventures, teaching them the true meaning of family and the power of a little bit of magic.

Under the direction of Dr. Kelly Bremner, chair of the E&H Theatre Department, 20 cast members are ready to whisk you away on a journey filled with laughter, heart and unforgettable melodies.

“This is a delightful and happy musical that appeals to all age groups,” said Bremner. “At the heart of this show is a celebration of joy and how important it is that we remember how to play- especially with our families.  I am so excited to showcase the amazing talents of our students and faculty alike.  The cast is working diligently to put on a spectacular show for our audiences. Their work will be enhanced with professional choreography, imaginative sets and projections, and a live orchestra.  No matter what age you are, you will leave this show full of joy and wonder.”
