Firefighters with the Ivanhoe Volunteer Fire Department responded to a 1 p.m. call about a grass fire on Ricky Road Feb. 8. When crews arrived 10 minutes later, they found a barn and nearby structure burning. Crews fought the blaze for more than nine hours, with three trucks and 15 firefighters on the scene. Coming to aid were the Max Meadows and Barren Springs fire departments and Lead Mines Rescue Squad.
