2022 Logan Tanner Smith Memorial Scholarship recipient Sydney Underwood
The “Logan Tanner Smith Memorial Scholarship Foundation” was established in May 2021 by his parents. On January 23, 2021, Logan unexpectedly passed away and to continue his legacy, a scholarship has been formed.
This scholarship will provide a minimum of $2,000 of financial assistance to a deserving Fort Chiswell High School Graduate who plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree at an accredited College/University of their choice.
Scholarship applications will be distributed and accepted by the Fort Chiswell High School Guidance Office. The Guidance office will screen the applications to ensure the applicant meets the minimum criteria. All screened applications will be reviewed by The Foundation and a recipient selected.
The Foundation will dispense the funds to the recipient via paper check at a selected, agreed upon school event (graduation, assembly, etc).
The Foundation reserves the right to change the application process or award amount whenever deemed necessary.
