Marion baseball beats Warriors; Chilhowie claims victory in softball

Marion hung goose eggs on the scoreboard for Chilhowie until the final inning when the Warriors finally pushed a pair across the plate.

The Canes walked away with a 6-2 victory after a four-run explosion in the opening frame.

Marion’s Carter Sayers, Jack Pugh and Corbin Bade patrolled the hill, giving up just seven hits.

Broady Roberts and Mason Pugh led the way with the bats, each of them belting a double.

Ben Kilbourne and Landown Bowman each picked up a pair of hits for Chilhowie.

Chilhowie’s girls battled back from a 3-0 deficit to claim a 4-3 win over the Lady Canes.

Emmaline Dowell had a six-hit, two RBI night to lead the Lady Warriors.
