Marion Farmers Market readies for upcoming season

The Marion Winter Market continues on the second Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

Market Manager Leslie Vanover said the market generally has meats, baked goods, canned goods, eggs and other essentials.

The market runs through April, with the regular season farmers market taking over the parking lot on May 1. Hours for the regular season market is 8 a.m. to noon.

On April 24, the market will host a “Meet Your Market Manager” for vendors and prospective vendors. Vanover will lay out plans for the coming season and hand out applications for reserved spots.

For more information, contact Vanover at [email protected] or call 276-620-1300. Market spaces are $5 per week.

Only essential items – meats, canned goods, baked goods, eggs, plants, vegetables, fruits, cleaning and cooking supplies – can be sold at the market.
