Marion Fire-EMS was dispatched to West Chilhowie Street at 7 a.m. on Saturday to the scene of a building that had burned on Nov. 15, 2019.
According to the department, the owner was working to clean up the site, burning debris in the shell of the building. The fire department said the owner was attempting to keep the fire in check with a garden hose and it became a bit too large, and the Marion Fire-EMS crews were brought in to extinguish it. There were no injuries.
