Marion’s boys bounced back from an earlier loss to the Blue Tornado at the precise moment it mattered.
The Hurricanes, led by Cade Burchett dropping in 23 points, claimed a huge 82-57 Southwest District tournament win over the Blue Tornado.
The Blues had bested Marion in the final regular season meeting, but fell in the first round of tournament play.
The score was knotted at 12 after the first frame, but Marion opened up a six point advantage going into the break and used a 30-17 third quarter to put the game out of reach.
