Person sought in Wytheville purse snatching jailed in Indiana

One person thought to have been involved in a May 9 purse snatching at the Wytheville Food City grocery store is in custody in Indiana and a second person has been identified and is currently a fugitive.

William Humberto Romero-Guete is in custody in Indiana, charged with similar crimes in that state.

A second suspect has been identified as Karol Iveth Tapie Hermoza and is currently wanted in Indian for similar crimes as in Wytheville. A third suspect in the Food City purse snatching is still unidentified and at large.

The Wytheville Police Department has obtained arrest warrants accusing each Romero-Guete and Hermoza with felony credit card larceny conspiracy, felony credit card larceny, felony credit card forgery conspiracy, felony credit card forgery, two counts of petit larceny, misdemeanor credit card fraud and misdemeanor obtaining money by false pretenses.
