Wythe County Supervisors recognized Joseph Puckett of the George Wythe High School swim team.
Puckett earlier won the Class 1 & 2 state championship in the 200-yard freestyle. Puckett was also state runner-up in the 100-yard backstroke, a member of the state runner-up boys 200-yard free relay and a part of the third-place boys 400-yard relay team.
Puckett was selected to be the All-State swimmer in all four of his events.
