Radford University holds winter commencement

 Radford University conferred 594 undergraduate and graduate degrees during the 2021 winter commencement exercises. On Dec. 11, 2021, 461 graduate and undergraduate degrees were awarded at the Dedmon Center on main campus in Radford, Virginia, and 133 degrees were presented at Radford University Carilion events in Roanoke, Virginia.

Alumnus Brian Robinson ’93 delivered the keynote address. Robinson is Goldman Sachs’s head of prime brokerage sales for the Americas. “As you embark on your journey, know there’s going to be potholes, peaks, valleys, ups, downs, whatever. But put some soul into it. Put your soul into it,” Robinson said. “I promise you today, if you rise and grind, a magic carpet ride awaits you. Greatness is upon you.”

Among those receiving diplomas were:

Jon Brody Crockett of Wytheville, who earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management; Ramsey Chase Catron of Wytheville, who received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing; Tyler Laughlin Gregory of Wytheville, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Technology; Caroline Brett Booher of Max Meadows, who graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice; Catherine Anne Mlynski of Wytheville, who received a Bachelor of Science in English; Randall Ty Horton of Wytheville, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise, Sport, and Health Education; Brandon David Leland of Max Meadows, who earned Bachelor of Science in History; Hannah Leigh Blankenship of Rural Retreat, who graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies; Brady Arlington Epperson of Max Meadows, with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science; Emma Lauren Kegley of Rural Retreat, who received a Bachelor of Science in Pyschology; Carley Marie Kirby of Wytheville, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in Nursing; Kaitlyn Nicole Poole of Wytheville, who graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in Nursing; Thomas Luke Litton of Bland, who received a Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Parks and Tourism; Madyson N Dodson of Bland, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in Nursing; and Jesse Steven Dinger of Wytheville, who earned Master of Business Administration in Business Administration.
