Smyth County deputies chased a 2013 Toyota that had been reported stolen from Saltville earlier this week.
The pursuit, according to Sheriff Chip Shuler, lasted about 15 minutes on secondary roads in the Riverside, Thomas Bridge and Sugar Grove sections of the county.
Spike strips were deployed by deputies to deflate the tires and end the chase.
Elizabeth Catherine Davis, 39, of Saltville was driving the Toyota and charged with felony failure to stop for a law enforcement officer, possession of stolen property, vehicle theft and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Davis is being held at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail facility in Abingdon without bond. A hearing is set for Jan. 19 at Smyth County General District Court.
