The special election to fill the Senate seat left vacant by the death of Sen. Ben Chafin is set for today, March 23. Voters in the 38th District may cast a ballot between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. at their regular polling place.
The 38th consists of Bland, Buchanan, Dickenson, Pulaski, Russell and Tazewell counties, parts of Smyth, Wise and Montgomery counties and the cities of Norton and Radford.
Chafin died Jan. 1.
On the ballot are Republican Travis Hackworth and Democrat Laurie Buchwald.
