Grayson Sheets led Marion to a convincing win at Marion’s Holston Hills against Smyth County rivals Northwood and Chilhowie.
The Scarlet Hurricanes finished with 320 points, well ahead of second-place Chilhowie at 397. Northwood wrapped up with 431.
Sheets shot a 78, the only golfer to crack 80 on the course. Ethan Baggett finished with an 80 while Parker Wolfe and Isaac Roberson each carded 81s.
Will Barnes led Chilhowie with an 81. Will Goodwin shot a 91 and Ethan Doss a 104. Emmaline Dowell shot a 121.
Northwood was led by Walker Jones, who shot an 83. Duke Colley finished with a 109. Dawson Prater carded a 118, and Bricen Frye a 121.
Up the road in Floyd, Galax finished second out of four teams in a non-district match at Great Oaks Country Club.
Floyd took first, shooting a 309. Galax finished with 317 team points. Patrick County wound up in third with 362 points. George Wythe finished fourth, carding a 383.
