The Emory & Henry College Men’s Wrestling Team returned to action in the Star City Classic presented by the USMC Saturday. Eight different wrestlers took to the mat for the Wasps as the team competed in its first tournament in program history.

Grayson County graduate freshman Dalton Biggs picked up his first collegiate win at the 165-pound weight class, pinning Averett’s Joseph Lombay in 2:52. Biggs fell to Shenandoah’s Hunter Thompson in the quarterfinal, getting pinned in the second period.

Marion graduate Matt Cox fell to Anthony Reese and Alex Turley, both from Averett.

Troutdale resident Brendan Blevins fell to Dylan Weaver of Shenandoah and AU’s Jovante Hobbs at the 174 pound class.

Chilhowie graduate Blaze Hughes lost to Jeff Allen of Liberty and then to teammate Donovan Pinnix.
