Track and Field: ODAC player of week

Emory & Henry College junior Edward Rajner has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, ODAC officials announced Tuesday. It marks the first time in program history that a member of the E&H track & field programs has earned weekly honors from the league.

The Bainbridge, New York native and two-time All-ODAC performer scored 28 of the Wasps’ 46 points at Bridgewater College’s North River Invitational Saturday, leading the team to a fourth-place overall finish.

Rajner won the discus with a school-record mark of 42.30 meters and also took first in the shot put with a throw of 12.84 meters. He was also the runner-up in the hammer throw at 37.58 meters.

Emory & Henry will next compete at the EMU Legacy Meet on Friday, April 2.
