David Goode claimed second at the regional tourney, shooting a par 72 to earn a spot at the state championships to be played in Floyd.
Goode’s teammate Reece Vaught also battled his way to a state bid, beating Coltan Ferrell of Giles in a playoff.
Galax led the field with a team 302. Auburn finished second, shooting a 360.
