Wasps host open in wrestling

The Emory & Henry College Women’s Wrestling Team closed out the first half of its season by hosting the third annual Wasps Open on Friday at the John Rutledge King Center. The Wasps saw six of their 12 wrestlers finish in the top four of their respective weight classes.

In the 155-pound weight class, Fairlawn freshman Molly Keller won in the quarterfinals by a 10-0 technical fall. She bested Oliva Schwender of King University in 1:00 in the semifinals and took the championship with a pin of Marymount University’s Kaylee Anderson in 51 seconds.
