Wythe swimmer hauls home golds

Tatum Robinson hauled home a pair of golds from the state swim, meet, adding to her collection.

Robinson finished first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:08.88. She was first, too, in the 100 fly, finishing in 57.86.

The Maroon crew of Morgan Dalton, Carrie Sage Dalton, Lydia Sprano and Tatum Robinson captured silver in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:53.92. Marion’s foursome of Kursten Thomas, Chana King, Abby Melvin and Ava Kate Graham tool 11th with a 4:49.03 finish.

The George Wythe team of Morgan Dalton, Tatum Robinson, Lydia Sprano and Carrie Sage Dalton grabbed gold in the 200 Medley relay, turning in a time of 1:58.25.

Fort Chiswell defending state champ Kolby King took silver in the 200 yard freestyle, finishing in 1:53.24, about four seconds behind Bruton’s Riley Thompson.

King was second, too, in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing in 5:04.25.

Morgan Dalton captured silver in the girls 100-yard backstroke, clocking in at 1:02.24. Morgan Dalton finished fourth in the 100-yard freestyle, posting a time of 56.34.

Lydia Sprano finished third in the 100 breast, posting a time of 1:14.14.

In the girls’ 200 free, Carrie Sage Dalton, a George Wythe freshman, finished ninth with a time of 2:14.74.

Carrie Sage Dalton wound up in fifth in the 500-free with a time of 6:01.57.

In the 100-yard freestyle, George Wythe’s Joseph Puckett placed seventh. The sophomore clocked in at 52.08.
