Dr. Hess commented, “This partnership between two great institutions that serve Appalachian students speaks directly to our mission of providing educational opportunities to the region. The addition of the School of Engineering at LMU provides new career pathways for students to improve life in the communities they will go on to serve. As science and technology jobs continue to grow, it is important to have these opportunities for students in our region. I look forward to welcoming Wytheville Community College graduates to our main campus in Harrogate, Tennessee.”

Dr. Sprinkle agreed, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with Lincoln Memorial University to offer our graduates admission to LMU’s undergraduate programs including Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Our partnership with LMU will benefit our students as well as contribute to both the regions’ science, engineering, and technology workforce.”

WCC graduates with an Associate of Arts Sciences Degree will satisfy all Lincoln Memorial University General Education requirements, with the exception of two courses unique to LMU.

Qualified students will be eligible to enroll in the LMU Honors Scholars Program if they meet the minimum requirement of a CGPA of 3.0 or higher on all prior college coursework, pending a successful interview and writing sample.
