The Chautauqua Creative Writing Contest is an annual contest sponsored by the Wythe Arts Council to encourage creative writing in our region. Each year, the Arts Council solicits entries to the contest, and during the festival, they host a creative writing awards day. During the ceremony, a guest author gives a presentation about their most recent work and/or writing in general. Award winners are then recognized followed by a discussion.
