Appalachian Sustainable Development hosting fundraising supper

Appalachian Sustainable Development (ASD) will hold a second annual  fundraising supper at Tumbling Creek Cider Company Cidery located on Kelly Ridge Farms, LLC in Meadowview, Virginia on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 6pm, EST. Tickets are $60/person and should be purchased in advance under the events tab at: https://asdevelop.org. 100% of all proceeds benefit Appalachian Sustainable Development. Event sponsors are Cary Street Partners and Renaissance Properties, LLC., both of Abingdon. 

A limited number of 52 guests will enjoy a 3 course, locally sourced seasonal meal paired with Tumbling Creek Ciders, that are pressed and fermented on site. Seating is first come-first serve, and guests can sit at tables located inside the production facility our outside on the newly created outdoor patio (weather permitting). Layers and sturdy shoes are suggested. Guests are welcome to wear masks to support personal comfort levels.

Chef Bradley Griffin, formerly at Sarah Jean’s Eatery, Glade Spring, Virginia (launching new culinary products and experiences soon!), will source seasonal ingredients to prepare and serve a sit down meal highlighting the best in Springtime local faire. Upon arrival, guests will enjoy local crusty breads, cheeses and pickled appetizers. Supper begins with a colorful spring salad of local lettuce, farmers market veggies, pickled items and tossed in ASD’s own Appalachian Harvest Cucumber Dill Dressing. Course 2 features local cured and smoked Pork Belly, tender Asparagus, Peach Sauce and Collard Green Hot Sauce. Appalachian Harvest Pumpkin Butter Chess Pie is served last with a shot of tangy Apple Cider Vinegar. Each course is expertly paired with locally sourced Tumbling Creek Ciders.

Guests that arrive by 5 p.m. are invited to enjoy a special tour of the orchard, conducted by Tumbling Creek Cider Company co-owners. Guests are also welcome to purchase additional ciders before and after dinner.
