Titans of the Cage returns to Wytheville on April 2

Titans of the Cage returns to the Wytheville Meeting Center on Saturday, April 2, with a preliminary fight card that will take place ahead of the main fight card.  The preliminary card which begins at 2 p.m. will feature many youth expo bouts with several local and regional youth competitors competing in grappling, kickboxing and modified MMA bouts.  The main fight card will begin at 5 p.m. and will feature 20 hard-hitting MMA bouts sanctioned by the state of Virginia.

 These Local youth, all from Ring-Combat Sports,  will be competing on the “preliminary” part of the event which starts at 2:00 PM.  (Front Row L to R); William Chrisley, Bentley Ratcliffe, Michael Faircloth, Jax Cornett, AJ Dunford, Gabe Faircloth and Hayden Reed.  (Back row standing L to R); Cody Meek, Parker Morgan, Braylon Ratcliffe, Sierra Llewellyn, Hattie Meek, Cayden Booth, Jeffrey Reilley and Joey Larkin.


Current bantamweight champ, Brandon Holloway of Greensboro, North Carolina, defends his title against the surging Eduardo Castillo of Beaufort, South Carolina.  The vacant TOC welterweight title will be up for grabs when Denver Lopez of Fayetteville, North Carolina, takes on Lewis Glover of Beaufort, South Carolina.

Many local fighters will step inside the cage at this event, as well.  Luke Kincer of Ring-Combat Sports faces Clay Bucci of Greensboro, North Carolina,.  Kyle Frankenfield of Ring-Combat Sports takes on Josh Cook of Halifax in a kickboxing bout. 

Pedro Jiminez of Ring-Combat Sports will face James Bowman of Saltville, Chris Spencer of Ring-Combat Sports will do battle with Trevor Quackenbush of Roanoke, Bobby Collins of Ring-Combat Sports will duel with Cory Brewster of Tazewell and Brandon Webb of Ring-Combat Sports squares off with C.W. Ferguson of Vinton.

The ladies will take to the cage in this one, as well with three female bouts on the main card.  April Cline of Team Advantage in Princeton, West Virginia, will do battle with Lesley Steiner of Atlantic MMA in Hickory, North Carolina.  Jordan Raulston of Battleborn MMA in High Point, North Carolina, faces Hailey Harkey of Hickory, while Wendy Anudson of High Point takes on Jonna Wood of Leonardtown, Maryland.

Other fights on the Main card are as follows: Shawn Ciafardini (Roanoke) vs. Darren Williams (Winston-Salem), Joseph Geilman (Beaufort, SC) vs. Dimitri Mebane (Greensboro, NC), Jonathan Dalton (Roanoke) vs. Cody Prior (Covington), Eric Thomas (Beaufort, SC) vs. Upright Odoemena (Charlotte, NC), Gavin Thomas (Lincolnton, NC vs. Patrick Shaffer (Charlotte, NC), Austin Ronsick (Asheboro, NC) vs. Diontay Isaacs (Greensboro, NC), Sheldon Capdepon (Beaufort, SC) vs. Addison Hendry (Elon, NC), Josh Lilley (Beaufort, SC) vs. Ryker Powell (Greensboro, NC) and Daniel Wilkins (Lincolnton, NC) vs. Mac Shumate (Greensboro, NC).

These youth competitors all of Ring-Combat Sports in Wytheville will test their skills on the preliminary portion of the show;  Jax Cornett, A.J. Dunford, William Chrisley, Gabe Faircloth, Hayden Reed, Bentley Ratcliffe, Ranger Rasmussen, Michael Faircloth, Joey Larkin, Jeffrey Reilley, Braylon Ratcliffe, Cayden Booth, Ageo Perez, Parker Morgan, Sierra Llewellyn, Hattie Meek, Chalsey Webb and Cody Meek.  Other youth from around the region include; Willow Liles (NC), Cooper Pyles (WV) and Cameron Battle (NC).

Other older teens and young adults competing on the preliminary event are as follows; Alijah Webb, Joseph Wagner, Hunter Lynn, Vanessa Manns, Hunter Anderson, Curtis Davis and Justice Cizl.

Doors open at the Wytheville Meeting center on April 2 at 1 p.m. Preliminary bouts start at 2 p.m., Main Fight card starts at 5 p.m.  Tickets are available online at www.titansofthecage.com and at the door of the event.
