Armstrong leads Panthers at track meet

Kendra Armstrong hauled home a third-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles, earning the Lady Panthers their strongest finish at the April 8 Judy Thomas Invitational held at Patrick Henry High School.

Armstrong clocked in at 18.63. Armstrong also notched a 17th-place finish in the 400-meter dash and finished 18th in the 100-meter dash. .

Liz Kestner finished sixth in the 3200-meter run, stopping the clock at 19:29.22. Kestner was 14th in the 1600-meter run. Shaylee Phillips earned 12th in the 1600 and 19th in the 800-meter run. She finished 28th in the long jump.

Aaliyah Bennett finished 15th in the 200-meter dash and 25th in the 100-meter dash.

Jake Cook led the Panther boys with an eighth-place finish in the 3200-meter run, posting a time of 13:16.39. Cook finished 16th in the 1600-meter run.

In the 800-meter run, Kaydon Hockett claimed 28th place, and Blaine Woods finished in 30th. Luke Buchanan was 31st in the long jump while Dawson Prater earned 36th. Duke Colley finished 33rd in the 100-meter dash.
