Chilhowie Public Library Hosts Exciting Eclipse Preview Presentation

The Chilhowie Public Library buzzed with enthusiasm as NASA Solar System Ambassador Fred Mitchell took center stage, captivating attendees with a riveting preview of the upcoming solar eclipse coming April 8.

Mitchell’s engaging presentation delved into the rich history of eclipses, offering insights into these celestial phenomena. Attendees were treated to an educational journey, gaining a deeper understanding of what to expect during the upcoming solar eclipse.

The event, which drew a good turnout, treated attendees to special eclipse viewing glasses that were made possible by the Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries. These special glasses ensure that the eclipse can be viewed safely.

The excitement doesn’t stop there, the Chilhowie Public Library is gearing up for a month filled with eclipse and space-themed activities as part of Citizen Science Month in April. From interactive workshops to hands-on experiments, there will be something for everyone to explore and enjoy.
