Richmond Vincent Jr., president and chief executive officer for Goodwill Industries of the Valleys, announced new board leadership. Effective Monday, Aug. 23, Matthew Churchill, Wells Fargo, assumed the chairman of the board position.
Churchill has served on Goodwill’s board since 2016. He is actively involved throughout the community, also serving on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Virginia’s Blue Ridge.
He says one reason he gives back to the community is because he enjoys living here. He wants to contribute to what makes it a worthwhile place to live – part of which is a healthy economy.
Goodwill Industries of the Valleys is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. They provide critical support through guidance and fiduciary responsibilities. The board consists of individuals with diverse backgrounds and represent the geographical regions served by the organization.
