The fee fishing areas located at Clinch Mountain and Crooked Creek started the summer trout stocking schedule on Friday, July 7. Stockings at both fee areas will take place four times per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday) with one stream section receiving fish at each stocking. A detailed stocking schedule will be posted at each location. This schedule will remain in place through the end of the Fee Fishing Season on Sept. 30.
A daily permit ($8) is required to fish the fee areas for any person over 12 years of age, in addition to a valid Virginia freshwater fishing license (all children under 16 are exempted from having a fishing license).
