Country Store plans dance workshop

Do you already have the basic two step rhythm and you are ready to add a few more dance moves?

Floyd Country Store has the class for you.

The New Moves Partner Dance Workshop is set for May 9 at 6 p.m.

In this one-hour class, Stephanie Wolf and Todd Burris will teach several new moves, turns, and unique steps. Plus, they will go over a few of the basics you are familiar with! Come learn some moves before Honky Tonk Thursday at The Floyd Country Store. Stephanie and Todd are both experienced dancers and teachers and this is an investment towards more fun, great exercise, and new friends! Both singles and couples are encouraged to join. Cost is $25.

Coming to the Country Store on May 11 at 7 p.m. is Miss Tess.

Swinging for the fences and from the branches of jazz, country, blues and old school rock and roll, Miss Tess has employed all of her influences and talents on a tour-de-force, while cleverly taking standard perspectives and ideas, like the definition of a love song, to task. After over a decade on the road, now making her home in Nashville — by way of Baltimore, Boston, and Brooklyn — Miss Tess has found a creative community that encourages and embraces wide artistic exploration and expression as much as she does.

On July 13 at 7 p.m., Rob ickes and Trey Hensley will take the stage at the store.
