E&H softball ranked in top 25

For the first time since April 2018 and the second time in program history, the Emory & Henry College softball team is ranked in the Top 25 of NCAA Division III. The Wasps break into this week’s NFCA Division III poll tied for 20th, NFCA officials announced Wednesday. The NFCA is the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
E&H is currently 10-2 on the season and earned wins over then-No. 4 Christopher Newport University and then-No. 11 Transylvania University over the weekend. CNU is now ranked fifth while Transy cracks the top 10 in this week’s poll.
Emory & Henry is one of three Old Dominion Athletic Conference schools to be mentioned in the poll as Virginia Wesleyan University is No. 2 in the country while Randolph-Macon College is ranked 24th.
Leading the country is unanimous selection East Texas Baptist University, its fifth-straight week atop the poll. Behind VWU in third is Linfield College while Texas Lutheran University sits in fourth.
