Preparations are already underway for the 2023 Chautauqua Festival, and the Wythe Arts Council is getting ready to host the first big fundraiser of the year.
The Chautauqua Festival, which will be held June 17-24 , is an eight-day festival that provides free entertainment, craft and art shows, hot air balloons, children’s activities, food, and more for Wythe County and the surrounding communities. However, the festival and other Wythe Arts Council events would not be possible without the support of businesses, patrons, and the community.
On March 28, the Wythe Arts Council will be holding its second annual silent auction fundraiser at the Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theater from 5 to 8 p.m. Along with the silent auction, appetizers and music by Jonathan Roth will be available to enjoy. Last year’s silent auction raised more than $8,000 with all proceeds from the silent auction going directly to funding the Chautauqua Festival.
