The Virginia State Police is investigating an Oct. 12 crash in Glade Spring that killed a Saltville woman.
According to a police spokeswoman, the crash occurred at 7:45 p.m. on state Route 91, near the intersection with East Glade Street.
Police said a 2009 Dodge 1500 pickup was traveling east on state Route 91, where a pedestrian was walking in the travel lane. Police said the vehicle wasn’t able to avoid striking the pedestrian 32-year-old Megan N. Taylor of Saltville.
Taylor died at the scene, according to the VSP. The driver, a male resident of Glade Spring, wasn’t charged. Police said that Taylor was dressed in dark clothing.
