GW wallops Bath County

The Maroons got back in the groove, and that groove was winning big, as the GW boys stung Bath County 85-48 in regional play.

GW jumped to a 28-9 advantage in the first frame, and headed into the break leading 55-19.

Also by the break, George Wythe was posting two starters who had stroked at least a 1,000 career points. Reed Kirtner iced a trey to join the club that teammate Ty Campbell joined earlier this season.

Meanwhile, the Lady Maroons were more than getting things done on the girls’ side. George Wythe hammered Eastern Montgomery 52-19.

The George Wythe girls never let the Mustangs hit double-digits, scoring enough points – 22 – in the first frame to win the game.
