Indians overwhelm Panthers

Rural Retreat’s baseball and softball teams stroked some big Hogoheegee wins over Northwood.

On the boys’ side, the Indians claimed a 17-2 victory over the Panthers, surrendering just four hits. Brody Waddle stroked two of those for the Panthers.

Brody Childers and Tucker Fontaine clubbed three hits apiece for the Indians.

The Lady Indians got out to an early lead, plating a run in each of the first three innings during a Tuesday game against Northwood. While that was enough to secure the victory, the double-R girls put some security up in the last inning. And by security, we mean nine runs in a 12-1 Hogo victory.

Kailey Davidson spun a six-hitter for the Indians. Raegan Evans led at the plate with four hits in as many plate appearances.

Kendra Armstrong led the Lady Panthers with a pair of hits.
