Lincoln postpones shows

Updated: Because of an uptick in COVID-19 cases, Marion’s Lincoln Theatre postponed its Charlie Chaplin marathon originally set for Jan. 2 and 3. The shows will now be Feb. 27 and 28.

The Lincoln Theatre is showcasing two days of classic silent movies on Feb. 27 and Feb. 28.

Ring in the New Year’s by watching one of the most recognizable icons of Hollywood’s silent era.

Admission is free but donations are encouraged. Masks are required and seating is limited.

On Saturday, Feb. 27, “The Great Dictator” is set for 2 p.m. “The Kid” will play at 6:30 p.m. “The Gold Rush” begins at 8:30 p.m.

On Sunday, Feb.28, “Modern Times” will play at 2 p.m. “City Lights” closes the event at 4:30 p.m. The theater is sanitized before each event.

On Saturday, Jan. 16, the Lincoln throws open its doors for a 7 p.m. Song of the Mountains concert featuring Carson Peters and Iron Mountain with Lonesome Pine. Tickets are $30.

Seating is limited. Face masks are required and social distancing will be maintained.

Henderson classes planned

Open classes with all levels of experience welcome, is set for Saturday, Jan. 9, at the Henderson in Marion.

Cost is $10 per class.
