Lincoln readies for busy, festive November

The Lincoln Theatre is gearing up for a festive November with a lineup that promises to bring humor, harmony, and holiday cheer to the Marion community.

From a classic film screening to a handbell concert, stand-up comedy, and a swingin’ jazz performance, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

 Paper Moon Screening – Nov. 10

 Kicking off the holiday season is a special screening of the beloved 1973 film “Paper Moon” on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. Tickets for this event are a mere $5, making it accessible for all to join in the cheerful spirit.

This classic American road comedy-drama, with its witty humor, will delight the audience. The film pays homage to the Lincoln Theatre’s movie palace origins, taking you on a journey with a traveling Bible salesman and an orphaned girl who make a dynamic duo of con artists.

 The event is part of the Lincoln Theatre’s $5 Friday Flix program, celebrating films that have reached their 50th anniversary.

Raleigh Ringers Handbell Concert – Nov. 12

On Nov. 12 at 3 p.m., the Lincoln Theatre welcomes the Emmy-nominated handbell choir, the Raleigh Ringers.

With tickets ranging from $12 to $22, this internationally acclaimed ensemble is set to charm audiences of all ages with their beautiful renditions and unique compositions. The group has commissioned or been gifted over 150 works composed or arranged specifically for handbells.

Known for their exceptional talent, the Raleigh Ringers have performed across the United States, the District of Columbia, Canada, England, and France during their tours.

This performance promises to usher in the holiday season with chime and cheer, setting the tone for the season of giving.

Killer Beaz Comedy Show – Nov. 17

Legendary comedian Killer Beaz takes the stage on Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for this side-splitting event range from $38 to $55.

 Killer Beaz, known for his more than three decades of comedy, has achieved acclaim through his hit Discovery Channel series, “Moonshiners.” His family-friendly show has graced comedy clubs, theaters, and television screens, leaving audiences from all over the nation in stitches with his undeniable wit and universal appeal. Based out of Williamsburg, Virginia, but touring nationwide, Good Shot Judy revives American classics with a talented ensemble of jazz musicians. Their performance, featuring powerful vocals, electrifying percussion, and a horn section, is certain to get you up and dancing.
